Nestled in Deep River, on the east coast of Mauritius, AIR is an independent and inspiring space designed to welcome artists, creators, and cultural thinkers.
AIR is neither a hotel, nor a museum, nor a simple gallery. It is a retreat. A living, breathing space where creation rhymes with immersion — where nature, art, and cultural dialogue intertwine.
Through residencies, exhibitions, public events, and collaborative workshops, AIR offers a rare opportunity: to slow down, reconnect, and explore new creative paths.
We host Mauritian and international artists to engage with the land, the river, the forest and with the surrounding communities. Each stay leaves a mark, a story, a work of art.
