Jean Marie Sophie, born in Mauritius and raised in Mahébourg, is a fisherman who turned to art. Passionate about creativity, he began painting while working as a set designer and entertainer. Since 1996, he has devoted himself fully to oil painting, inspired by his travels and gallery visits. Today, he is recognized for his seascape paintings.
